Denver Whiskey Club, This October we are keeping close to home, and in comparison to learning about the regions of Scotland, we will instead hear from some of our Colorado gems that we haven't had the opportunity to hear from before.

Please join us to hear and taste from... PT Woods from Wood’s High Mountain Distillery in Salida, CO

Wood’s was started by brothers PT and Lee, who officially started making whiskey in the hills of Salida in 2012 on their antique German pot still. They currently distill 2 whiskies, 3 gins, and an elderflower liqueur. Rich Anders from The Steward’s Solera in Basalt, CO

A Solera is a system for aging a product in which the casks of the older product are topped off by the product of the next oldest cask. The Steward combines three mashbills from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana and joins them with three different mashbills of bourbon made at Woody Creek. Jay Johnson from Bear Creek Distillery in Denver, CO

A hair-brained scheme amongst some old high school buddies. Jay, along with his friends, family, and supporters have been building Bear Creek from the ground up with the ideals of becoming a top-tier distillery in Colorado. Selling businesses, chasing dreams, and committing to making some really good grain-to-glass spirits is just part of the story of Bear Creek, and Jay will fill us in on the rest.
